Superbowl Trading

I’m watching the Superbowl pregame and something struck me that I thought I would share…

We see Tom Brady and Eli Manning play maybe 30 to 45 minutes over the course of a 3 hour Superbowl game. But what we don’t see are the hours these guys put in everyday. I’ve heard stories that both QB’s have an intense work ethic. We don’t see the coaches and the mentors that these guys employ, that scrutinize every phase of their game. We don’t see the tools and the technology that these athletes have at their disposal. All so they can execute to the best of their ability for 30 to 45 minutes a week for 16 to 20 weeks.

It makes me ask the question, do I put in the time? Do I have the same work ethic? Have I done what I can do to “practice” so I can analyze and execute over the course of a trading session? Do I have a coach or a mentor that can scrutinize my strengths and weaknesses. What about tools and technology? Do I know how to use my trading platform and charting software? Do they have Trading-enhancing drugs? Can I get some…just kidding.

So if trading were football, Are you doing what it takes to “trade” like a pro? How about in the NFL? Make the playoffs, the Superbowl?

As long as I can trade in the “NFL” I’m happy. I’ll leave the Superbowl to someone with greater aspirations than I.
